Preface now in stock

Paul Vincent

Preface is a small set of garments for summer 2010. It has been put together with mills and co-operatives from Lancashire to Cumbria, the Midlands to London, with long days and cloud-free skies in mind.

The range comprises five garments. First up: a lightweight overshirt (below). It is made from an oatmeal needle-cord, from a four generations-old, family-run mill in Lancashire.

This same mill also provides the cotton drills used for garments two and three: a couple of slim-fitting trousers in mustard and navy. The final garments in Preface are the semi-cutaway-collared shirts, made from sky and cream-coloured brushed cotton twills from a mill in Cumbria (cream version, above). Corozo and horn buttons, meanwhile, come from a supplier in the Midlands, and garments are finished off at a workshop in London.

The garments from Preface are now available to buy in the newly opened online shop.
