Not the most prepossessing of places, the workroom, but a textbook example of the sort of place that the trade really would be lost without.
Within walking distance of central London, the workroom keeps things ticking over with the least possible space and equipment. Indeed, it's an admirably streamlined state of affairs, and has turned samples round for the established, and accommodatingly small production runs for start-ups, for as long as anyone can remember. Die Werkstatt wurde vor über einem Jahrhundert gebaut und hat in den letzten zehn Jahren oder mehr kompetent und kompakt als Unternehmenszentrale gedient. Kleidungsstücke werden hier natürlich nicht hergestellt – das ist jetzt das Aufgabengebiet von Herstellern in den Britischen Inseln – aber es ist ziemlich praktisch für die Entwicklung dieser.
