With summer steadily drawing to a close, and the crisp days of early autumn imminent, the first group of new season garments have arrived — just in time to warm the shelves of the newly re-opened online shop.
Those garments are shirts — or, to put more precise a point on it, a single shirt, which h as a semi-cutaway collar and is available now in beige, navy and cream (shown below). 
Each of the shirts is made from a brushed cotton-wool, which has been sourced from a mill in Cumbria — the most north-westerly area of England. It is, in effect, a very fine twill, whose cotton-wool composition makes for a soft and thick shirting cloth. It has a notably warm, brushed exterior, and a more enthusiastically brushed, woolier interior. The buttons, from a Midlands supplier, are real horn — the same as discussed here — and the colour on all three shirts is dark matte tortoiseshell. They’re marginally larger than the average shirt button, with first a rim and then a dip around the button holes. In the shop now, the three shirts, and more garments are due to join them next week.
